Hero Heroine Villain
Hero Heroine & Villain is a gripping Tamil short film that explores the fragile line between love, perception, and conflict. Through a visually driven narrative, the film unfolds a layered relationship between three characters—each embodying the roles of hero, heroine, and villain in their own way.
I worked on the film as the Cinematographer, Editor, and VFX Artist, shaping the visual language, pacing, and atmospheric tone of the story. From framing emotional moments to crafting the rhythm of the edit and enhancing scenes through subtle visual effects, the film reflects a collaborative effort to tell a compelling story through cinematic imagery

Some stories are not told through words — they unfold through glances, silence, and shadows between people.
Hero Heroine & Villain is a story where roles are never fixed.
In one moment someone is the hero, in another the villain, and somewhere in between lives the fragile truth of love and misunderstanding.
The film explores the shifting dynamics between three characters, where emotions collide and perspectives blur. What appears simple slowly reveals layers of tension, longing, and consequence. Every frame becomes a fragment of a larger emotional landscape.
As the Cinematographer, Editor, and VFX Artist, my role was to shape the visual heartbeat of the film — crafting the mood through light, framing, rhythm, and subtle visual effects. The camera observes quietly, allowing the characters and their emotions to breathe within the frame, while the edit guides the audience through the delicate balance between intimacy and conflict.
Visual Approach
The visual language of the film centers around perspective and emotional distance.
Camera placement and composition were used to subtly shift how the audience perceives each character. At times the camera observes quietly, creating distance, while in other moments it moves closer to immerse the viewer in the character’s emotional space.
Lighting and framing were intentionally kept minimal and atmospheric to allow the performances and the narrative tension to take center stage.
This film is not just a narrative of three people.
It is a reflection on perspective — where the hero, the heroine, and the villain exist within the same story, depending on where you stand.
A story told through light, rhythm, and the spaces between moments.
